herro everyone. Mkay, so as you can see I redid the layout of this page. I didn't really want to change it, but, I can see some of my stuff getting copied, plus I found that photo and I thought the guy looked ridiculously like Seabrook. Or is just me? Haha lemme know you think along with your comments for this chapter.xoxo
Take it easy baby, we can make it right, girl you know my love is always on your side. Rest your eyes tonight.
It felt like our childhood summers again as my flip flops hit the wooden pier. The lights shined against the midnight sky, the sounds of teenagers screaming on the rides filled my ears, and the scent of cotton candy hit my nose. I knew I was going home with a bag of that stuff tonight.
Duncan and I walked around a bit before we decided what to hit up first. The line ups were long for every ride, so we had no choice but to wait in line. We decided on some rollercoaster that looked the most daring. They were my thing. I liked the thrill, knowing I was strapped in, but feeling like I was going to fall at the same time. The rush just, ignited me.
I kept my eyes on all the wondering strangers. Maybe hoping I'd see him out in the crowd. But there was no sign of him anywhere. That sinking feeling in my heart came back. Cursing under my breath, I fixed my eyes on a bunch of children crowding a clown as he made some unrealistic animal out of balloons. Making me think of the time Duncan sat on mine and I gave him a black eye cause of it.
"Looking for him?"
I shrugged, "somewhat."
"He'll come around."
After another 20 minutes of waiting, we finally got onto the ride. Dunc looked like he was going to pass out before it even started. I chuckled and waited for the ride to start ..
"I'm gunna die."
My head flew back as a uncontrollable laugh came out of me. That was by far one of the better rides I've been on. Duncan looked horrible. All the colour left his face and he showed no emotion.
"Oh, come on, it wasn't that bad."
"Oh yeah, it was." He sighed. "Cmon, I'm hungry."
"You wanna eat after that?"
"Sure do, sis."
I laughed, "You're disgusting."
"Ah, it runs in the family."
I took a walk by myself as Duncan went and ate got knows what. The sky was completely black and a million diamond stars lit it up. I heard the muffling of some overplayed country song in my ears. I couldn't put my mind to what it was. I was thinking enough already.
It's not so much that Brent talked to Annabelle, or that she showed up. It was what was said, and what he did to get her out of there, or was she still there? My overreacting is giving me a serious case whiplash. I know it's only been two days, but, he was completely different from my last boyfriend. Everything was just so comfortable and I felt like I didn't have to overthink anything when I was with him.
I noticed Duncs voice, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"You're worried, I can tell."
"I just hope to god he didn't take her back."
"He wouldn't do that. He likes you, and it's not like him." He awkwardly pulls me into a hug and pouts. "I want my sister back, let's go have fun."
"Alright, can you stop staring at me like that?"
Typical of him. It made me feel a little better. For lost time, Dunc and I went into a haunted house. A few things jumped out here and there, giving me a little heart skip. It didn't scare me like it used it. I walked down a dark corridor, and another, and another. Oh god, I was lost.
"Kay well, I'll meet you outside."
I retraced my steps and walked down and towards a corner. In that split second, someone grabbed my side, causing me to scream out of complete and utter shock.
"Jesus, christ, Dunc, that was not .."
But it wasn't Duncan, not even close.
"Brent? What, why .. oh my god."
He smiled and gently grabbed my hand, "Ally, I'm sorry about earlier, she's just so .."
"It's okay. Duncan told me what happened." I replied tightening the grip on his hand. "Wait, how did you know I was in here?"
"Duncan texted me, I got down here as soon as possible."
My lips curled into a smile, and I got onto my tip toes and locked his lips with mine. His hands gripped onto my sides as I cupped his neck. I just felt like the weight of a world was off my shoulders.
